Job Summary: 


  • To bring industry knowledge, world class capabilities, innovation and cutting-edge technology to our clients in the Utilities industry to deliver business value.
  • Engage with customers, understand the challenges, coordinate with partners, design and develop solutions to address the challenges in the area of smart grid integration into the grid and network management applications like AMI, SCADA, GIS, CIS , IVR, Scheduler, WFM etc
  • Design data interfaces between Active network management technologies and range of systems (e.g. GIS, SCADA systems, AMI, CIS) using a range of protocols.
  • To provide advisory and hands-on services to clients on solution architecture, gap assessment, estimation and budgeting requirements, E2E implementation and testing for Oracle NMS projects.
  • Well versed with Oracle NMS modules such as Web Workspace, Web Call Entry, Storm Management etc.
  • Experience in Oracle OUA (Oracle Utilities Analytics) for reporting and dashboarding
  • Lead and support large Oracle NMS implementation projects in functional and technical capacity, leveraging Utilities domain knowledge and experience in leading solutions.
  • To work on configuration of NMS Adapters, Model Build activities, configuring workbooks, setting up extractors for GIS systems, defining event workflows, implementation of communication protocols, and accurate data mapping of attributes from source system like GIS, CIS in large scale implementation and upgrade projects.
  • Work requires travel to client site for project work across geographies.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for Creation of project related deliverables such as project plans, project scope, implementation plans, network roadmap, communication plans, resource estimation and financial models.
  • Coordination with OEMs, SI and the Utility and assisting in preparation of Smart Grid Roadmap for Utilities.
  • Owner of project design phase including design of infrastructure, configuration specifications, data conversion, display conversion and test plans.
  • Implementation of system configuration, development of interfaces, reports and views, and configuration of adapters within Oracle Network Management System.
  • Work on Model Build Activities like setting up extractors, configuring workbooks, creation of supporting .mac .mad  & .cel files for importing files from Geographical Information System.
  • Support in testing by developing detailed test scripts for System Acceptance Test (SAT), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT).
  • Execute test procedures at various locations including lab, customer offices and customer sites; Conduct online and classroom training sessions by providing practical use cases & assignments
  • Work on project management activities including tracking of project budget, deliverables and resources, managing vendor relationships, mitigating project risks and managing project change requests.
  • Integral part of change management in review of existing processes and procedures, definition of future state processes, development of training material and delivery of training sessions to business users.

Qualifications:


Education:                                 Full-time graduation; Relevant accreditation for Utilities industry


Work Experience:                     5+ years of experience in Oracle NMS implementation projects


7+ years of experience in Utilities industry


Work Requirements:                 Extensive travel depending on geographical span


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:


Core Skills:


  • Deep knowledge of Utilities industry (grid operations) in Transmission and Distribution especially in Smart Grid Space and Oracle Network Management System
  • Good understanding of Utilities business processes in mature markets – North America, Europe, Australia, India
  • Experience of maturity assessments and gap analysis for customer impacting processes in the grid operations of Utilities industry.
  • Evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of existing solutions, platforms, and tools against selected business and technology KPIs and strategic goals
  • Strong writing skills and experience of producing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership
  • Active role in the identification of opportunities from existing relationships and by growing new networks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead global distributed teams
