Global Travel Program Specialist


Role Overview


The Global Travel Program Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our corporate travel and fleet programs across the globe. This position focuses on supporting business travelers, ensuring compliance with corporate travel policies, negotiating cost-saving opportunities, and improving overall program efficiency. The specialist will work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure a seamless travel experience, provide crisis management support, and maintain up-to-date travel guidelines and procedures.


Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as the central point of contact for all travel-related inquiries and manage the Corporate Travel inbox.
  • Oversee operational tasks with the third-party travel management company.
  • Administer the corporate booking software, including account creation, reporting, and profile management.
  • Analyze global travel spend, report on savings opportunities, and identify lost savings.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate travel programs and policies.
  • Develop recommendations for travel program improvements and lead their deployment through effective project management.
  • Collaborate with Global Category Management teams to negotiate cost reduction programs with hotels and airlines.
  • Create and deliver recurring training and communication for internal stakeholders on travel policies and best practices.
  • Manage global vendor loyalty programs and report on their performance.
  • Provide travel guidance and crisis management support, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk management programs.
  • Maintain and update procedural documentation for the corporate travel program.

  • Work Environment: Remote with potential travel as needed
  • Team: Collaborates with internal stakeholders across various departments, including risk management, finance, and HR, as well as external travel vendors.

Qualifications and Profile


  • Education: University degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate travel program management or fleet industry.
    • Experience in Administration/Customer Service roles will also be considered.

Skills:


  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 level) and Spanish, with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with a strong process-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and take on new challenges with resilience and adaptability.
