OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE



This Global Subchapter Lead - Datarole is a key leadership team member located onsite within Takeda’s Innovation Capability Center reporting to the Global Chapter Lead - Data and Analytics​. The center executes the delivery of solutions via a product driven organization following Scaled Agile framework. IT technology center safeguards organization-wide standards and technology building blocks, and collaborates with Business Technology Analysts (BTA’s) and Product Owners (POs) on execution of delivery.  



  • Provides leadership to his team ofchaptermembers and provide expertise and consultancy to the allocated business functions and to hischapterto meet global demand in an agile way.



  • Monitor and manage the technical implementation of initiatives coming from Takeda, takes the lead on the readiness of the software development for the organizatin, whilstmanaging the workloadand building appropriate skills and capabilities of the chaptermembersfitting to the organizational demand.



  • Set and manageobjectives to develop new initiatives or programs, suchasidentifying new areas of interest for chaptermembers, creating new events or activities, launching new projects thatalign with the Global Chapter’s mission and goals



  • Lead his team to solve complexdigital and IT issues, solutions and implementationsacrossregions and organizationswithinTakeda.



  • Managethe workload, the development of chaptermembersand focus on the constantvisibilitywithin the plaform or business focus of the chapterin alignment with the global chapter lead. Thiscould involve developments or partnering with parts of organization to promote the chapter activities.




ACCOUNTABILITIES



Resource Allocation and Staffing



  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Global Chapter lead and Global Subchapter Leads to staff Subchaptermembers on Agile teams



  • Collaborates with the Global Chapter Lead and and technical leads to understand business problems, productes to ensureresultswhilst monitoring skill and capabilities developments



  • Manage resource constraints for Subchaptermembersacross the Agile teams, and procure flexresourceswhere appropriate



  • Establish and maintains open and clear lines of team communication to facilitate status transparency



  • Assess and balance the resourcingneeds of the Agile teams with Subchaptermember’sdevelopment goals



Subchapter Development



  • Work closely with the Global chapter leads and otherGlobal Subchapter Leads within the chapter to provide the vision and lead the Subchapter capabilities build-out.



  • Cooperate closely with otherGlobal Subchapter Leads within the chapter to ensureconsistency in the procedureschapter wide.



  • ClearlydefinedifferentSubchapter capabilities, with a harmonized set of roles and skills



  • Lead the Subchapteras an experiencedpractitioner and be a role model to the members.



  • IdentifySubchaptermembers to serve as leaders who help provide training and oversight for their people management responsibilities.



  • Manage escalations, risks and issuesrelated to the services delivered by the Agile teams.



Talent Development



  • Foster close cooperationacrossallchaptermembers and encourages cross-training, knowledge sharing and development.



  • Works with HR to defineroles, recruit top talent, conduct candidate interviews, and onboard new chaptermembers



  • Track the progress of eachindividualtowardcompletion of the training curriculum



  • Set targets for development and growth, and completesfinalassessment of Subchaptermembers in professionaldevelopment, in alignment with the technical capability lead.



  • Lead talent development and retentioninitiatives, including provisioning of training, sharing of best practices, and initiatives to promote a culture of continuousimprovement.



Performance Evaluations



  • Overseecollection of formative and evaluative feedback for eachSubchaptermember from their network of professional connections



  • Oversee delivery of performance evaluations for Subchaptermembers, factoring in individualcontributions and collective team performance

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:



Essential



  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent



  • Minimal 6 or more years of experience in building and manage engineering teams



  • Excellent written and verbal English skills with ability to clearly present ideas



Desirable


  • Experience in a fast-paced Agile environment is a plus. 



  • Passionate about change and continuous improvement; willing to challenge status quo and dissent when needed, and not afraid to point out areas of development.



  • A track record of success in developing technology leaders and staff.



  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.



  • Highly collaborative working style, strong interpersonal capabilities and relationship building; proven ability to manage diverse client and stakeholder relationships, and to collaborate effectively with customers and coll
