Mission Statement: Responsible for being in-charge of GEC (Global Engineering Centre) for Transformers business to provide Engineering Services to PGTR factories worldwide. GEC is integrated with Hub APMEA located at PGTR Vadodara facility. Major part of the role involves management of multiple engineering teams separately engaged with transformer factory engineering teams located in other Hubs. In addition to the managerial duties, GEC Manager will participate actively in defining processes and making them stronger to align with host factory in other hubs. Deliverables are full Project Engineering focused on designing, collaborating, communicating, and following host country strategies around engineering-based projects. Your Responsibilities: Responsible to manage multi-skilled engineering teams for various regions. Efficient, timely and quality execution of engineering deliverables while achieving agreed KPIs. Work closely with local receiving factory engineering teams to share knowledge and experience. Fully align with receiving factory teams to build up necessary skills and competence for an all-round project delivery from concept to productization. Responsible for resource selection and allocation within (GEC). Ensure efficient utilization of respective resources across BUs and factories. Ensure optimal flexibility of resources. Prepare annual and multi-year budget in cooperation Hub/BU Engineering manager. Ensure early indications of deviations between budgeted and actual KPIs. Prepare engineering service agreement/contracts with the factories. Ensure that GEC cost is compensated by receiving factories. Responsible for Cash Flow of GEC. Ensure that state of the art design methods and latest tools are used. Ensure training on Methods and Tools preferring locally available resources. Your Background: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering with sound academic record. About 10-15 years of experience in managing multiple Engineering teams with a wide range of skills & competencies. Must have excellent People management skills. Ability to communicate and work effectively with global managers at all organizational levels. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is a must.
