Job Description
Role purpose: To monitor, audit, and report on Travel and Expense (T&E) claims, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and organizational accuracy standards. The role involves providing actionable insights through advanced data analytics, identifying risks, and presenting findings to senior leadership. Additionally, the role focuses on fostering collaboration across global teams to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.Key Accountabilities• Develop and implement a robust review framework for auditing T&E claims to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with policies and regulations.• Conduct regular audits to ensure T&E claims comply with company policies and external regulations, identifying and addressing non-compliance, fraud, or irregularities.• Analyze T&E data using advanced modeling and visualization tools to identify trends, detect anomalies, and recommend areas for improvement.• Escalate high-risk issues promptly and propose effective corrective actions to mitigate risks.• Develop insightful dashboards and reports to provide actionable intelligence and strategic guidance to senior leadership.• Collaborate with global teams, including Finance, Procurement, and Travel Management, to ensure alignment on policy adherence and compliance objectives.• Act as a key point of contact for T&E-related queries, offering guidance on policies and procedures.• Review and enhance T&E policies to address emerging risks, align with best practices, and improve process efficiency.• Support intelligent automation initiatives by developing and refining analytics models and leveraging advanced tools for process optimization.• Work closely with IT and cross-functional teams to implement system updates, automate reporting, and enhance efficiency.• Design and deliver training programs to raise awareness and ensure compliance with T&E policies across all stakeholder levels.• Promote a culture of transparency and accountability in expense management, driving ethical practices and strong governance.Education• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field.• Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or data analytics (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.Experience• 5+ years of experience in audit, compliance, or T&E oversight roles.• Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, visualization, and advanced analytics.• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft) and expense management platforms (e.g., Concur).Technical Skills and Knowledge• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.• Proficiency in analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.• Extensive knowledge of audit processes, T&E workflows, and compliance standards.• Experience in driving process improvements and system enhancements.At IHG, we’ve made a promise.
