The Role


As a Geotechnical Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


·Design of Pile Foundations: Develop and analyze pile foundation designs for offshore structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.


·Soil Stiffness Curve Generation: Should be able to generate soil stiffness curves, utilizing in-situ and laboratory testing data to inform foundation design.


·Pile Driveability Analysis: Perform pile driveability assessments, including dynamic analysis and static load testing, to ensure optimal installation methods and techniques.


·Subsea Structure Design: Conduct foundation design for subsea structures, including PLEMs and FLETs, focusing on stability and structural integrity in marine environments.Carry out on-bottom stability analyses for subsea structures to assess and mitigate risks associated with sediment movement and hydrodynamic forces.


·Geotechnical Reporting: Prepare scope of work for geotechnical and topographic surveys. Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports summarizing findings, methodologies, and recommendations for project stakeholders.


·Collaboration: Work closely with structural engineers, marine engineers, and project managers to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project designs.


·Site Investigations: Oversee and participate in offshore site investigations, including sampling and testing of soil and rock.


·Compliance and Safety: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards, promoting a culture of safety on-site.


·Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support during construction phases, addressing any geotechnical issues that arise.


About You 


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


·Education: Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering.


·Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore geotechnical engineering, specifically in pile foundation design and analysis. Having experience in design of suction piles will be added advantage


·Technical Skills:


oProficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GRLWEAP, PLAXIS, LPILE, etc.).


oStrong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles.


oExperience with site investigation techniques and data interpretation.


·Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in challenging offshore environments.
