Job Description:


This role will be part of the Operations HR team in India and support the stakeholders based in India region and work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to ensure adequate availability of resources to drive business goals and performance.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Business Partnering: Be the go-to HR person for the set of stakeholders on all matters related to people in the team
  • Talent availability:
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure timely posting of jobs
    • Work with TA team to ensure timebound hiring against open positions
  • Talent Retention:
    • Collaborate with business leaders to drive overall employee retention
    • Leverage various levers to retain hi-performing and hi-potential talent
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Leverage Hitachi Insights survey to drive employee engagement
    • Collaborate with HSE team to drive Employee Wellness agenda in the country
  • Employee Development:
    • Leverage Hitachi Learning calendar and work with O&D team to ensure employee development in line with business needs
  • Performance Management:
    • Leverage Global Performance Management tool, to create high performing teams.
    • Ensure GPM process is completed as per scheduled timeline
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
    • Work with business leaders towards creating a more Inclusive environment for a diverse workforce.
    • Leverage EquiLead Index to improve DEI metrics in India
  • Talent Assessment and Management:
    • Assist Managers in assessing talent on their potential.
    • Work with Managers in managing employee development using tools like IDP
    • Work with Managers in managing poor performers
  • Succession planning: support stakeholders in developing succession plan for their critical talent
  • Change Management: Ability to drive change as required with stakeholders and employees.
  • Hitachi Culture: work with key stakeholders to promote Hitachi culture and understanding of Hitachi values by all employees.
  • HR Projects: undertake HR projects as assigned from time to time
