We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Technical Project Management
- Help up/multi-skill the team in line with Agile/DevOps ways of working
- Report progress and identify and raise any issues/risks, escalating as appropriate to enable satisfactory resolution.
- Build trusting relationships with stakeholders by consistently meeting and delivering upon their business needs; demonstrating and being respected for your domain knowledge.
- Establish and maintain good communication and relationships, both internal (onshore/offshore) and external to the Bank as a representative of the analysis domain.
- Proactively interacts with and provides support to delivery partners to ensure the needs of the business are met, while at the same time, understanding technical implications.
- Lead on improvements to the development process – both from technical and Agile viewpoint

- Consistently achieve objectives set for individual and taken action to improve their own and the team performance
- Service management
- Looking at opportunities to reduce the complexity of the IT enterprise and reduction in Run The Bank costs.
- Ensures the level of automation within the pod is optimised at all times, reducing the need for human intervention in the design, development and operational lifecycles, including decisions on tooling to achieve optimal performance
- Accountable for ensuring products and services maintain compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements and control objectives within the risk and controls framework
- Responsible for ensuring group controls are maintained within the pod activities and remediation activities are resolved swiftly
- Responsible for ensuring that all activities performed within the Pod adhere to the relevant data standards and data controls (as defined by HSBC FIM)
- Accountable for the operational stability, integrity and availability of products and services supported by the pod
- Ensure timely resolution of any issues and proactive communication to all stakeholders involved
- Release management
- Work with the Product Owner, Solution & Platform Architects to identify changes required, create & agree necessary stories
- Work with the Agile Lead(s) to ensure efficient flow of the backlog of change activities
- Support the solution architect to ensure that solutions and services are supported by the right architectures & systems
