A front office job description may include a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Maintaining office supplies:Performing an inventory of office supplies and ordering what is needed

  • Operating office equipment:Using office equipment such as photocopiers and printers

  • Bookkeeping and issuing invoices:Recording meeting minutes and dictations, and issuing invoices and checks

  • Introducing clients:Introducing clients and guests to the organization's upper management

  • Managing the flow of visitors:Managing the flow of visitors through the organization and ensuring that all receptionists complete their duties on tim

  • Greeting clients:Welcoming clients, customers, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answering phone calls:Taking calls, taking messages, and directing them to the appropriate person or department
  • Managing mail and packages:Handling incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Scheduling appointments:Setting appointments and maintaining schedules
  • Organizing files:Maintaining and organizing files and records, and updating them when needed
