About the platform
Transportation Financial Systems (TFS) is building a brand-new web platform. This platform allows all internal users to perform in depth financial and technical analysis related to their day-to-day activities. The platform suffices the needs of a plethora of users from business performance analysts, operational analysts, carrier management, financial controllership, accounting, accounts payable and the technical community. The platform is customizable to the needs of each user, allowing real time access to right statistical position and performance data and enabling real time decision-making capabilities as well as swift corrective action.
What is the one-line vision or “North Star” of this product?
Our North Star is to provide all TFS users, a robust and scalable self-serve web solution that connects, streamlines, and automates data intelligence & reporting for a financial transaction across various TFS services with help of an easy to navigate user interface. We envision this product to be a single source of truth and a go-to tool across TFS organization to assess systematic, financial and operational data and provides business workflows for TFS users to perform their daily activities.
Whom will you work with?
You will be working with product manager, SDE-3s who will be reviewing your body of work on this program on an ongoing basis. This program will also have a Principal Engineer oversight. You will also collaborate with senior BIE, security certifier within transportation domain to build this product.

- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 3+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- 3+ years of professional front end development experience
- Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences
- Experience with object-oriented design
- Knowledge of agile development and best coding practices including peer code reviews, and unit testing
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
