Position Summary:


The Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team Lead at NIQ is a key leadership role in the Finance Operations Center responsible for overseeing the FP&A activities across the NIQ company. This position entails managing a team of approximately 10 analysts and ensuring that financial processes support strategic business objectives with optimal efficiency and accuracy. Reporting to the Global SA&I FBP, the FP&A Team Lead will spearhead initiatives to enhance financial forecasting, reporting, and decision-making processes while promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the finance team.


Key Responsibilities:


0 Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence in financial management.


  • Strategic Financial Planning: Drive the development and execution of strategic financial plans, including comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the company's financial health and business strategy.
  • Operational Excellence: Enhance and streamline FP&A operations to improve accuracy and efficiency. Implement best practices in financial modeling, data analysis, and automated reporting systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with Finance Business Partners to understand their needs and ensure the FP&A activities align with business objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure that financial practices comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Innovation and Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to leverage new technologies and methodologies in financial analysis and reporting to keep pace with market trends and organizational needs.

Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. An MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a must.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in financial and business analysis rolw, or a similar strategic role in finance, with a proven track record in a managerial role within commercial finance or a similar setting.
  • Advanced Financial Modeling: Expertise in creating sophisticated financial models and using financial software to optimize business outcomes.

0 Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing finance teams with a minimum of 6 8 direct reports. Proven capability to mentor and develop high -performing teams.


 Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the impact of financial decisions on business outcomes.


0 Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial modeling and experience with financial software and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc.) and ERP systems. Experience using data visualization tools (PowerBI etc.) is highly preferred


       0                 Analytical Skills: High proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and data interpretation.


  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide leadership and guidance on financial matters to non-financial stakeholders.

       0 Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under
