OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Fleet support Engineer is responsible to perform the following: -
24hr Fleet Management, Fleet Planning and Fleet Coordination. Ensuring all customer, safety and reliability issues are delivered and agreed within the restrictions of the available resource and facility.
Coordinate Train Handover from Operator to Depot and vice Versa. Coordinate with Maintenance team & PI team for smooth depot operations. Manage proper reporting and notice submission to Customer in time.
Continuous coordination and Synchronization with Customer for Smooth train induction for mainline.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fleet support Engg will be responsible for overall co-ordination with respect to train maintenance, arrival, departure, power block coordination, shunting co-ordination and single point contact with employer for day today working of depot.
Fleet support Engg needs to coordinate with DCC, OHE, Track, On board Signaling for matters strictly pertaining to RS maintenance only.
Fleet support Engg responsibility will be to provide the fit trains to DCC according to the train operation plan. Planning & coordination with DCC for making the trains available in the depot at the prescribed time for maintenance purpose.
Provide up-to-date data/ information on fleet status to internal and external customers.
Ensure real time customer support and forward-facing defects are efficiently managed.
Timely Submission of Reports and Notices to Customer in alignment with Internal Stakeholders.
Coordination for Train In and Out Management and Align with Customer for KPIs Define & Implement project fleet strategy to fit with contractual requirements and Business Needs.
Manage the day-to-day contacts with Customer regarding service provision of the Trains Interface with customers.
Interacts strongly with other internal departments to ensure SQCD of the fleet. Support exceptional schedule changes in line with Commercial & Customer requirements. Communicate fleet availability/performance to all areas of the Business & Customer Active Participation in Planning. Qualifications & Skills:
EDUCATION:
B Tech Electrical/Electronics or equivalent.
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
Good communication, report writing and organizational skills.
IT skills – competent user of Personal Computer, including office packages, SAP, Planning tools as MS Project, Maximo... Flexible working hours.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
Planning experience in a Metro Trains maintenance environment Relevant administrative qualifications
EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET
At least 4/5 years of experience associated with Metro Corporations in the domain of Train/Locomotive /Metro Fleet coordination/Operation/ Customer Coordination/Troubleshooting/PRT Management/Helpline Management. Knowledge of quality and safety systems A general knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance requirements. Experience of working in a Service Site. Knowledge and understanding of our customers.
