The Finished Goods Planner is trusted advisor to the Cluster Inventory Management Team to support the end-to-end inventory strategies and acts as a catalyst for driving continuous improvement through the development & optimization of finished goods planning. This position is responsible for building cross-team relationships with Purchasing Operations & Delivery (POD), Global Sourcing Management Team (GSM) and Inventory Management Team to ensure the development of optimized supply management through demand and supply alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between teams to build supply plans.
- Responsible for building effective supply strategies that align with financial objectives of the company & prioritization of supplies for Asia Clusters.
- Accountable for collaborating with Inventory Management Team to resolve issues related to product shipment delays.
- Recommend exception supply management activities.
- Support preparation of Ship Risk report and ensure % target is met
- Engage with POD & GSM to ensure that supply is in-line with demand.
- Deliver Production Requests to GSM based on target Safety Stock, production lead time and supply chain strategies at PC9 level.
- Review and publish the size requirement thru APO system to generate the Purchase Orders
- Owns communication with GSM to prioritize plan, review/ late/no supply deliveries.
- Coordinate off-cycle requests/ requirement of affiliates – Additional Goods Receipts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) with at least 5 years of Supply Planning or Finished goods planning experience.
- Experience in inventory & finished goods planning and a business background in retail, wholesale or e-commerce channel sales or marketing.
- Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal and marketplace information.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad, diverse group of business partners, mainly the cross-functional team.
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- APO – Demand Planning and Supply Network planning – is comfortable working in planning book and a SME.
- Advanced usage in ECC – SAP.
- Production planning and scheduling.
