We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Lead Consultant Specialist


  • Business Administration & Operational Management (BM) will lead or take ownership of business activities, supporting Leadership positions and Business Heads with non-BAU activities, cyclical work pieces such as Annual Reporting and short term initiatives. They are located in BAU teams and would report to a Global, Regional, Country or Business Head and may have direct reports.  The BM plays an important part in supporting Group Data Technology in achieving its deliverables, while at the same time managing costs to meet the budget.This job is not client facing and does not have any portfolios, however at times require liaison with vendors. 
  • Those employees fulfilling a Business Administration & Operational Management role are expected to possess knowledge of financial budgeting/forecasting/cost management, strategic planning, communication, and people management processes in the context of the business area they are located in, but are not expected to have specific product knowledge relating to the business or function in which they are located.Oversee and the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims.Participate in business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning
  • Facilitate & support senior management decision making by the use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC strategy.Responsible for accurate forecast at regional and global level in IT systems, commentary for forecast variances.Participation in forums and committees to represent view of business area.Participation in devising and monitoring of internal governance activities.Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance.Working with external service providers to manage or evaluate their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured
  • Support Annual Operating Plan and other planning activities.Operational Effectiveness & Control.Ensures compliance with Group policies and policies.Understand and support the Servco operational implementation as it impacts HOST Technology. Advance the granular data quality and drive increased transparency on various cost components of the Technology function. Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder’s abilities)
  • Technology is at the heart of the future of Banking and is firmly at the centre of the business strategy within HSBC. The business and stakeholders are diverse in nature and location and Technology has an ongoing target to continually improve the efficiency of the function and the organization.   • The role will be based in India, and supporting the Group Data Technology team.Operates without appreciable guidance from others, but is a clear role model within the team.Interaction with all levels of management to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysisManagement of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements).The jobholder will continually be aware of the operational risks associated with the role, taking account of policy changes, top down guidance from, boundary changes etc.The jobholder will ensure that reported numbers are accurate and complete, since these may be used as the basis for management decision taking.Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policyMaintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
