Financial Analyst - BU Finance SupportThis role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:


In the Finance and Corporate Strategy team we ensure that the business’s capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused. This is how we work to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. By gathering and analysing financial data we can influence decisions within the business, drive initiatives, and help ensure alignment with our wider objectives. What you’ll do:


  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment during Month/ Quarter close to ensure all time bound activities are completed and accuracy of the books of accounts is maintained.
  • Provide active support to the lead analyst during the Month End Close, Flash & LTP process.
  • Support data requests from internal stakeholders including Controllership, Tax and Local Statutory Auditors.
  • Strong Analytical skills including excel skills and familiarity with Finance systems to be able to generate reports to help the lead analyst in decision making.
  • Support Ad hoc reporting/ review requirements and manage the flash process including Anaplan loads.
  • Develop working knowledge of the business being supported to act as a limited back up to the lead analyst.

What you need to bring:


  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.


  • Typically 4 - 7 years of experience as a financial analyst.


  • Typically experienced in more than one finance function.


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.


  • Excellent analytical skills.


  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).


  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.


  • Superior teamwork skills


  • Strong business acumen.


  • Good project management skills.
