In supporting this growth and evolution, Amazon Finance Operations (FinOps) aims to deliver seamless Accounts Payable (AP) processes that enable geographic/market expansion and comply with regulations across inventory and non-inventory verticals. As part of this growth we now seek a Customer Obsessed, Results Driven Financial Analyst to join our FinOps – Operations Readiness Team.
The Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-growth environment. This role will drive complex programs and projects that impacts FinOps and AP processes across Global Support Centers through effective coordination with Global Teams (including Business Partners, Technology, Tax, and Subject Matter Experts).
This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to join a team that influences Accounts Payable processes across Finance Operations Support Centers. The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers / vendors. This role should also apply structured and analytical thinking to solve problems, while motivating their project teams, through superior influencing and inter-personal skills, to resolve conflicts, drive cross-functional decision making and deliver results.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with Program lead and drive complex, large-scale programs and projects from initiation through delivery by coordinating with cross-functional, geographically diverse project teams
• Understand business requirements and ensure implementation from people, process, policy, and technology perspectives
• Work with cross-functional teams to test, and launch scalable solutions that address customer needs while meeting high controllership standards
• Ensure consistent and efficient project execution, adhering to Amazon's governance and project methodology frameworks to deliver optimal, high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles through close collaboration with business partners, key stakeholders, and team members. Ensure Plan B’s are always in place.
• Track the health of the project post go-live and ensure the metrics are published to Sr. Leadership team as per the agreed timelines.
• Strengthen FinOps effectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Master's/Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of post-qualification experience in Shared Services, Accounts Payable
- 3+ years of project management experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
- Strong customer focus (both internal and external)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous situations
- Results-oriented work ethic with a strong desire to exceed expectations
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2)
- Six Sigma expertise (DMAIC methodology)
- Retail industry experience and experience in using Oracle Financial Applications
