The Controllership CoE is responsible for supporting the Visa business teams by ensuring that business processes initiated across geographies are operated in an effective and compliant manner and are in adherence to established policies and procedures.This role reports to the GCC/NALP Controller and will functionally collaborate closely with the Controllership COE vertical heads to build processes and tools for their respective functions.What a Financial Analyst does at Visa:Key member of the Controllership COE team and will be required to work on controllership processes, supporting the team to develop new tools and processes.Monitor financial transactions for policy non-compliance issues, unusual trends, and activities. This includes Purchase Order, Non-PO transactions, procure-to-pay, high-risk vendors programs, client contract management, general ledger, etc.Partner with the market controllers to take over simple VIK’s and improve the efficiency of the processes.Investigate and analyze potential issues, working with stakeholders to implement immediate and long-term solutions.Shape and steer internal procedures, setting the benchmark for best practices.Identify potential operational risk areas and propose data governance and process controls for robust error detection and prevention.Consult with functional business units such as Sourcing, Contracts Management, Compliance and Legal to implement and adhere to business procedures.Ensure consistency in CEMEA wide approach to delivering guidelines to business in accordance with policies and procedures.People partnership:Work extensively in a team environment within CEMEA, the COE and cross-functional team, as well as Compliance, Legal, Sourcing and Contracts Management teams.Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Support market units conduct of business transactions to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, policies, and procedures.Deliver strong customer service and support, demonstrate initiative in providing resolution and initiate changes to enhance internal control and remediate errors.Work closely with the COE leads and global regional leads to drive a consistent and common approach.Recommend, implement, and maintain process improvements using robust continuous improvement principles such as Lean and Six SigmaWhy this is important to Visa.The Financial Analyst will support market units with business engagements, ensuring compliance to policies and procedures. In this role you should be focused on being a change agent, optimizing department processes and building lasting relationships with others within and outside of the business. You should be knowledgeable, analytical, and decisive with excellent communication skills.Provide regional expertise support, demonstrating a transformation mindset and effectively drive changes in modelling, processes, and people. Constantly challenge status quo and be a change agent with the objective of driving for efficiencies but not compromising on controls. This role will reports to the GCC/NALP Controller and will be functionally working with the COE team in Bengaluru. The role will be open in Bengaluru, India.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably with a focus on project implementation, internal controls, and risk management.
• Proven knowledge and understanding of accounting standards, as well as statutory, corporate, and tax requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate and analyze potential issues, working with stakeholders to implement immediate and long-term solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise and train business units on policies and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
