What you’ll do

Role title: Finance transformation lead
Function: Finance Operations and Controls

Reports to: Head of Accounting, Reporting & Controlling
Location: Pune


Role purpose:


  • The corporate functions service tower (CF) in VOIS comprises circa 3,000 people working across a broad range of corporate services including accounting, purchasing, tax, controlling, statutory accounting, security operations, HR Operations and a substantial data and analytics practice in DAIS. 
  • We have four strategic priorities on top of delivering our BAU services on time, in budget and under control. These are:  Further Scale our Services, Piggyback on group transformation efforts, Curate a Beautiful User Experience, create a “Live” new benchmark for Corporate Functions Services – all these underpinned by the programmatic approach to commercialise our Shared Operations as called out in the VOIS strategy.
  • We have activities that are highly specialized and CoE based as well as high volume and scale activities. Our blend of human and machine interaction is increasing YoY. An example is Invoice Processing with 2.7Mn invoices processed yearly of which circa 40% were touchless (excluding Real estate). 2 e-invoicing portals, 1 intelligent OCR, 4 BOTs and machine learning algorithms are utilized in this process. 
  • The Finance transformation leader will be a seasoned techno-functional expert, heavily focused on defining and refining finance processes, driving transformation in the finance space, and deploying sustainable and scalable tools to help the business meet its financial commitments with healthier controls. The candidate will be an expert in finance processes with a strong background in Gen AI and relevant tools, and will lead governance to manage automation, productivity, and efficiency initiatives within the organization (VOIS-ARC).


Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 


  • Establishing and leading the process community
  • Identify and understand inefficiencies in finance processes, develop a sustainable plan to eliminate them, and automate through collaboration with the internal IT ecosystem and/or thru third-party IT partners. Deliver efficiency through continuous improvement and quality programs.
  • Participate in or lead change management to ensure it is delivered in a controlled and robust manner, with rigorous, automated testing, and adherence to appropriate business resiliency, audit, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive the idea identification program and enable capabilities for colleagues on new-age tools such as Gen AI concepts, Power platforms and VF Internal tools.
  • Track cost efficiency targets and establish reporting tools and KPIs that drive accountability and visibility into performance, resulting in the creation and sustainment of periodic cost and productivity rhythms.
  • Actively collaborate with key stakeholders to set up policies, procedures, tools, and governance to manage costs proactively.
  • Partner with finance colleagues and stakeholders to translate productivity goals into actions, identify, offset, and scale initiatives, and drive targets. Calculate the impact of strategic processes, validate results, and communicate outcomes.

  • Leadership experience of managing teams distributed across multiple functions, and can work with very senior management leadership
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure; accelerate pacing of actions; collaborate for a dynamic daily management system.
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and a multi-cultural environment and can navigate thru various blockers to deliver


Must have technical / professional qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, and 16+ years of finance domain expertise.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing a multi-functional Finance organization
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions.
