SUMMARY
Business partner to Finance Controllers at Bearward Engineering, a division of Wabtec UK Limited, and L&M Group, supporting the Controller and General Manager with Finance, Treasury and Accounting-related compliance operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other additional duties may be assigned.
Business partner to Bearward UK Finance Controller and L&M Finance Controller:
Provide detailed insights and comprehensive control
Control month-end close process
High level weekly information including Business metrics
Risks and opportunities reporting
Cash from operations management / reporting
Financial reporting support for all areas of financial operations including:
Support for financial reporting
Owner of all ERP related processes including (and not limited to) general ledger, fixed asset ledger, inventory (including tracking free-issued inventory), accounts receivable, accounts payable and cost accounting
Execution of monthly reconciliations, expense report verification, quarter end analysis and reporting
Liaison with the centralized Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable and R2R to close out issues (cash application / payment review checking / receipts, supplier and customer accounts maintenance, invoice queries, month end close activities)
Attend and conduct a monthly stock counts at 3rd party contractor
Maintain full records for compliance with GST, Custom, Income tax requirements
Control of ERP data uploads into OneStream on timely basis
Ad hoc administrative duties as required by the business
Treasury Management:
Supporting Bank liaison for all local banking requirements
Supporting Manage and reconcile cash against In-House Bank accounts
Maximization of Cash from Operations
Support cash from operations forecast and Driving Execution
Compliance work:
SOX / control’s existence and adherence
Support in Audit & tax compliance
Compliance with US GAAP accounting
Adherence to international reporting requirements including customs compliance
Best practice for all areas of finance and controls
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
CA/ICWA with 3-5 year experience or CA Inter/Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance with five to ten years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, including proficiency with MS Office and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Oracle, Blackline, PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
