Job Description
The role is responsible for the overall financial health of the company by managing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, producing accurate financial reports, and providing strategic financial analysis to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:- Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks, providing insights to management.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Budgeting and Forecasting:- Develop and manage comprehensive operating budgets for various departments, collaborating with department heads.
- Monitor actual performance against budget, identifying areas of concern and proposing corrective actions.
- Prepare financial forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.
Accounting Operations:- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Responsible for recognition of Revenue and validate customer orders based on agreed terms and conditions. Provide monthly updates to management regarding the status of the order-to-cash cycle.
Compliance and Audit Support:- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
Financial Analysis and Strategic Insights:- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
- Provide strategic financial advice to management on key business decisions.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.
- Design, lead, and implement forecast and performance management processes to institute rigor and accountability
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
