Job Description

Position Overview:

The Finance Director will play a critical leadership role in managing the financial operations of the company within the country. As a strategic partner to the senior management team, this position will be responsible for providing financial leadership, optimizing financial performance, managing risks, and ensuring the business operates in line with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in finance, strategic thinking, and an understanding of the IT distribution business.


Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a member of the country leadership team advising and supporting the strategic and growth of the country


  • Advise senior management on financial matters, including profit optimization, margin enhancement, and business opportunities.


  • Build financial models to support and validate business strategies


  • Liaise with third parties, including financial institution, government departments, commercial bureau and external auditors


  • Manage annual budgets and forecasts, credit policies, internal control and audit


  • Ensure all internal controls are in place and policies are compliant with local regulations, taxes, audit and statutory reporting requirements


  • Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP/IFRS and local regulations.


  • Oversee month-end close, accounting records, and ensure accurate financial statements.


  • Provide direction on credit policies, receivables management, and financial strategies.


  • Prepare financial forecasts and manage reporting, including P&L, working capital, and profitability analysis


  • Recommend economic strategies, objectives and policies. Analyze and make recommendations on modifications to existing programs and systems to enhance overall profitability


  • Communicate with corporate and regional financial staff to ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial data for corporate consolidation


  • Perform analysis of financial data for profit/loss statements, cost analysis, bad debt, gross profit, operating profit, and other measurements including working capital and ROCE/ROWC and coordinate timely review of the organization’s financial status/progress as required by management


  • Coordinate Book/Bill reporting system for product lines; together with coordination with Global information reporting of Book/Bill information


  • Coordinate Income Plan/Commission planning and reporting inclusive of target financial goals and actual performance. Investigate commission questions, errors and concerns


Knowledge Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or CPA/CA preferred.


  • 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within the IT distribution or technology sector.


  • Experience working and leading finance teams for a public US company.


  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).


  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.


  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial technology tools.


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.


  • Experience working in a multinational or complex organizational structure.


  • Strong understanding of tax regulations, treasury management, and local legal requirements.
