Job Title:Finance AssociateCash Application (OTC)



Responsible for:


Take the ownership of cash application process which is involvesmatching incoming payments to their corresponding invoices and accounts. Check, ACH, wire and credit card payments are reviewed and then matched to open invoices and those invoices are marked as paid.Cash application is the final step of the order-to-cash process; it'swhen a company applies a payment to a customer's outstanding balance. Some may say it's the most important step because processing a payment signals the end of a successful sale.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities are defined as:


  • Perform Cash Application, Clear On Account and Suspense Account items.
  • Booking incoming payments & allocation to appropriate invoices
  • Run daily bank statement
  • Customer account reconciliation
  • Ownership of entire receivables and identifying and implementing an effective collection strategy with collectors
  • Recommend changes to process and systems that will minimize risk, improve performance and productivity.
  • Solid understanding of finance and business.
  • Additional tasks when required.
  • Actively participate in training/meeting
  • Organize priorities to meet deadlines, KPI, service levels and meet customer expectations
  • Bank Reconciliation and expertise in preparation of MIS reports.
  • Handling issues and errors independently, reporting as per schedule.
    Coordinate deployment
  • Understand existing policies and procedures (process maps) and support in preparing as SOP’s as well as ensuring that SOP’s are always updated to ensure knowledge management
  • Customer master data creation
