Responsibilities


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and data stewards, with the goal of identifying and prioritizing business goals. See the Network section for additional details about the set of stakeholders to engage with.\
  • Business Process Analysis: Understand financial business processes and requirements related to SAP solutions by engaging with business partners and SAP practitioners at enterprise level. Conduct comparative research and recommend strategies with regards to SAP technologies to propose and implement solutions for business needs.
  • Document current and future state business processes related to core financial operations (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, controlling), and identify pain points and areas for improvement.
  • Solution Architecture Design: Lead, consult, review and/or participate in solution design, build, test and go live activities on SAP finance solutions implementations, rollouts, or upgrade projects.
  • Define the overall solution architecture for Finance, including selecting relevant SAP Finance modules (e.g., FI - GL ,AP ,AR ,AA, SPL , FSCM , CO,-COPA  , Project Systems  , SAP -TRM,  ,SAP - FICA , SAP -CLM, Concur ,SLAN  Nakisa , HFM ,Group Reporting ) integration with other SAP modules (like SD , RAR  BRIM, MM , ARIBA,  DMS , Payroll HR , Employee Central), and customization requirements along with Integration/Interfaces with SAP instances and 3rd Party Solution.
  • FI/CO Module Implementation: Collaborate with Technical Consultants to lead the implementation and configuration of SAP FI/CO modules (Financial Accounting and Controlling), ensuring alignment with business requirements and integration with other SAP modules. Lead, consult or participate in end-to-end implementations while also engaging as a functional solutions architect in other parallel SAP projects TRM
  • Implementation for FP&A: Craft adaptable, comprehensive, and feasible solutions and collaborate with Technical Consultants to oversee the implementation of SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) to support Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) processes, enabling better financial risk management and forecasting.
  • SAP S/4HANA Migration and Optimization:  Collaborate with Technical Consultants to lead the migration to SAP S/4HANA and optimize existing financial processes within the new environment, leveraging the capabilities of the platform
  • SAP Fiori Adoption: Drive the adoption of SAP Fiori user experience (UX) to improve user engagement and productivity within Finance processes.
  • Testing Strategy Development: Develop a testing strategy for the Finance solution, including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and potentially performance testing. Define test cases, test data, and acceptance criteria.
  • Training and Education: Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users and support teams on new Finance processes and system functionality.
  • Operating Model for Finance systems: Create and implement a comprehensive operating model, defining roles, responsibilities, processes, and metrics to ensure effective finance systems management that aligns with the strategy.
  • Stakeholder Management: employ techniques to ensure stakeholders’ needs and expectations are understood and managed; potential conflicts or issues are identified and addressed early on; and build trust and foster collaboration for mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Prioritization: evaluate the relative value of finance systems initiatives by evaluating against a set of developed criteria; and ensuring that potential conflicts in priorities with stakeholder groups are discussed, evaluated and agreed collaboratively.
  • Data Quality Management: Collaborate with the Data Governance and Data Management teams as they define and monitor data quality metrics, identify and address data quality issues, and implement data cleansing and enrichment initiatives.
  • Data Security and Privacy: Collaborate with the Privacy team to ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), implement data access controls, and protect sensitive data.
  • Metadata Management: Collaborate with the Business as they establish and maintain a comprehensive metadata repository to facilitate data discovery, understanding, and usage.
  • Change and Release Management: Lead Finance systems change and Release  management initiatives, promoting awareness and adoption across the relevant teams in the organization.

Education & Training


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • This role is applicable across various industries, but experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in Finance (e.g., CPA, CFA) or SAP (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - Financials in SAP S/4HANA) are highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English and local language mandatory

Experience


  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • High levels of energy, conscientiousness, rapport building, resiliency, inventiveness, and curiosity.
  • 15+ years of experience in Finance, with a strong focus on financial systems and processes.5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring teams.
  • Functional and technical strategic thought leadership.
  • Hands on experience with complex and large-scale SAP project implementations.
  • Proven experience in end to end implementation, Roll outs , Upgrades , and managing SAP Finance modules (FI, CO) and TRM.
  • Ability to see our SAP portfolio with both a deep and broad perspective.
  • Expert knowledge in all aspects of designing, developing, consulting, leading and managing broader SAP and related ecosystem initiatives.
  • Knowledge of required SAP localizations for the geographies where GMI hasbusiness operation (NA , Europe, Latam , Asian countries).Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration and optimization projects.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading complex Finance transformation projects.
  • Experience in change management and user training for Finance systems implementations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and IT.
  • Experience in working with global teams and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
  • Ability to evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, including understanding contractual terms, service-level agreements (SLAs), and negotiation skills.
