Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Field Developer Marketing Manager to join our team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you'll be the critical link between our global developer engagement efforts, the vibrant local developer ecosystem and our local field marketing team, driving awareness and adoption of AWS services through targeted marketing initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
As a Field Developer Marketing Manager, your role will be centered on conducting in-depth research to understand local developer needs and crafting targeted marketing strategies. You'll leverage these insights to create engagement plans that resonate deeply with regional developer communities while aligning with global objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Researching and analyzing local developer ecosystems to inform marketing strategies
- Collaborating with the DevRel Lead to develop data-driven, region-specific engagement plans
- Localizing global campaigns with a focus on cultural nuances and regional priorities
- Closely aligning efforts with Field Marketing teams to ensure wider impact
- Executing and measuring the impact of developer-focused events and initiatives
A day in the life
Your day might begin with a strategy session with the local DevRel Lead, aligning on campaign priorities. You might then localize content for a global AWS service launch, tailoring it for Indian developers. After lunch, you might coordinate with vendors for an upcoming developer event. In the afternoon, you might analyze campaign metrics and prepare insights for future planning. You might end the day with a meeting with global team members, sharing best practices and discussing new initiatives. Throughout, you'll balance strategic planning, content creation, event management, and collaboration, always keeping the local developer community's needs at the forefront.

- 5+ years of experience in technology marketing, preferably in developer-focused roles
- Experience working with developer communities or in developer relations
- Demonstrated experience in campaign management and event marketing
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience in technical content creation
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud computing concepts
- Proven track record of successful localization of global marketing campaigns
- Data analysis skills to measure and report on marketing campaign effectiveness
- Willingness to travel as required.
