Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting commercial operations with pre- and post-sale, field-based performance and support of technical applications using Incucyte, iQue and Cell Celector related reagents and consumables.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Customer Support – e-mail, phone, TeamViewer, site visits
- Identify customer needs and/or problems, and be knowledgeable in BioAnalytics portfolio (iQue, Incucyte, CellCelector). Introduce solutions to needs/problems where appropriate.
- Communicate with Service technicians to ensure BioA instrument(s) is functioning properly
- Product Demonstrations: Help develop detailed experimental plan, expected outcomes, and set expectations.
- Identify necessary reagents (cell lines, kits, etc.) and make recommendations which fit customer’s needs
- Help in assay set up/train relevant lab personnel – biological, instrumentation, and software.
- Establish/New customers
- Conduct On-site and remote trainings of the BioA instrumentation and software
- Provide support as necessary regarding assays they are currently running.
- Help develop protocols and train on expansion into new application areas where there is interest/or need.
- Maintain access to Sartorius most recent literature and marketing information so that they can be provided to customers with a need.
- Collect product development feedback from the field
- Identify edits in sales collateral (manuals, application notes, etc.) and product offerings, and participate in their revision.
- Conduct customer meetings and seminars
- Must have intimate knowledge of BioA product line and applications
- Research/Present publications containing BioA data
- Bring together internal and external Sartorius personnel when necessary
Travel Expectations:
- This position will require travel not to exceed 75% (3 weeks per month)
- Scheduling of site visits will be your responsibility in conjunction with Account Managers, subject to approval by regional FAS manager.
Background/Qualifications
- Masters/PhD in Cell Biology, Biotechnology or Lifesciences preferred with a min of 2-3 years of industry experience.
- Previous field experience in a similar field application scientist/technical support role OR combination of lab experience with customer support roles (e.g. work in core lab facilities, CRO, Biopharma)
- Necessary skills: microscope/image processing, flow cytometry, cell biology, cell culture, ability to understand different areas in cell biology research (e.g. neuroscience, immunology, oncology), excellent written/oral communication skills
