The Fitter (Metal Worker)


Aurangabad | Siemens Mobility | Full-time

Fitter (Metal Worker) is responsible for Set up of parts/components, grinding of assemblies, tack welding and complete Bogie frames or other Bogie Frame parts/sub assemblies, in accordance with the drawing, production plan and welding specifications.


1)Assembly and adjustment of running gear components or running gear frames in accordance with the drawing, bill of materials and production plan, whilst meeting the existing work instructions


2)Inspect size accuracy (drawing / mech. processing / measurement plan) and undertake any corrections)


3)Gas cutting and grinding.


4)Tack-welding of components (after giving training and qualification)


5)Cold and flame straightening of steel components.


6)Initiative in terms of continuous improvement and SPS


7)Experience from Heavy Fabrication is preferred.


Use your skills to move the world forward:


·        You should have minimum experience of 4 years and ITI (Fitter Trade)+NCVT passed.


·        Welding components set up experience, Methods & Technologies.


·        The fitter must be able to read the drawings and welding symbols (EN22553).


·        The fitter must be able to autonomously set welding parameters based on the thickness of the material, for tack welding.


·        An interest of learning, ability to work in team, analytical ability.
