Key Accountabilities Summary
Ensure the effective delivery process by tracking, monitoring, coordinating with suppliers to deliver the ordered products in accordance with contract to enable that FLSmidth can keep the delivery to end clients as agreed
- Keeps contact with suppliers to ensure that the ordered products are delivered on time.
- Follows up on products ordered so they will be delivered in a timely fashion and at volume and quality requested
- Informs the project manager & Logistics on status of delivery to enable freight coordinator to ship equipment to end clients
- Interfacing with internal stake holder & vendor for various documentations like Inspection report, Packing list, and shipment documents
- Submits claims to suppliers in cases where contract terms and conditions are not met

Role
We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our Global Expediting team as an Expediting specialist. They will be responsible to follow up with supplier delivery in accordance with the PO / Contract to enable that FLSmidth can keep the delivery to end clients as agreed.
Your responsibilities
- Review the scope of Purchase order and verify order acknowledgment from supplier.
- Keep contact and follow up with suppliers and track the purchase orders and critical/shutdown deliveries are delivered on time.
- Obtain manufacturing schedule / progress report from suppliers and monitor progress
- Monitor progress update and maintain expediting report on weekly / biweekly basis
- Coordinate with suppliers for various documentations like Inspection report, Packing list, and shipment documents
- Ensure Supply in Full On-Time (SIFOT)
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders – Buying / Quality / Projects / Engineering / Logistics team
- Raising flag on delays envisaged with SCM and Buyer, mitigation plan
- Provide feedback on supplier performance to Supply Chain Manager (SCM) and Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM)
What you bring
- Techno-commercial knowledge.
- Understanding of technical specification & drawings in purchase orders.
- In-depth knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data transformation.
- Strong understanding of ERP and PLM systems.
- Cost estimation knowledge is preferred.
- Bought out equipment knowledge would be an added advantage.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering degree from a reputed University, specializing in Mechanical will be preferred.
Experience
5 - 7 years' experience in a Procurement / Expediting.
