Key responsibilities 
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Pharmaceutical Product Management:
  1. Oversee the storage, handling, and movement of pharmaceutical products, ensuring all processes align with GDP and regulatory standards.
  2. Implement best practices for stock rotation (FEFO/FIFO) to maintain product quality, especially for temperature-sensitive items, and reduce wastage.
  • Cold Chain Handling:
  1. Manage cold chain storage, ensuring that temperature-sensitive products (e.g., vaccines, biologics) are stored under optimal conditions.
  2. Monitor temperature and humidity levels in cold chambers and ensure real-time corrective actions in case of deviations.
  3. Maintain strict records of temperature logs and conduct regular audits of cold storage conditions.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  1. Ensure adherence to GDP guidelines for cold chain products, maintaining accurate documentation for inbound/outbound goods, batch tracking, and temperature-controlled shipments.
  2. Assist in audits by regulatory bodies and maintain all required documentation for compliance with cold chain regulations.
  3. Inventory Control and Quality Assurance:
  4. Conduct inventory counts for both standard and cold chain products, ensuring real-time updates in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  5. Perform regular quality checks to ensure product integrity, particularly for cold chain products that require specific environmental conditions.
  6. Report any deviations, non-conformances, or issues related to product integrity or storage conditions.
  • Order Fulfillment:
  1. Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of both standard and cold chain orders while adhering to GDP guidelines.
  2. Verify batch numbers, expiry dates, and packaging integrity, particularly for cold chain shipments that may require specialized packaging.
  • Health and Safety:
  1. Follow all health and safety protocols, particularly for handling temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
  2. Ensure proper procedures are followed for hazardous or delicate products stored in cold chambers.
  3. Warehouse Operations and Team Coordination:
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations, particularly during the handling and distribution of cold chain products.
  5. Help train team members on GDP standards and cold chain handling practices to maintain high-quality operational standards.
  • Reporting:
  1. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on warehouse operations, stock levels, temperature logs, and compliance status, with a focus on cold chain product management.
  2. Communicate any cold chain-specific challenges or non-compliance issues to management for prompt resolution.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent.
  2. Strong understanding of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) guidelines and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, especially for cold chain products.
  3. 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical warehouse management or a related field, with cold chain handling experience.
  4. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and MS Office.
  5. Excellent organizational and documentation skills, particularly for temperature-controlled environments.
  6. Familiarity with batch tracking, stock rotation methods (FIFO/FEFO), and proper handling of cold chain pharmaceutical products.
  • Preferred Qualities:
  1. Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with stringent regulatory guidelines, particularly for cold chain management.
  2. Proactive and problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills.
  3. Prior experience in managing cold chain audits and inspections.
  • Work Conditions:
  1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
  2. Physically capable of handling and moving products, particularly cold chain items that may require special equipment.
  3. Comfortable working in cold chambers for extended periods, ensuring proper PPE and safety measures are followed.
