Job Description
Job Purpose/Objective
Support Stores Incharge to plan, coordinate and ensure availability of Spares and maintain store stock are accurately recorded in system.
Roles & Key responsibilities :
- Responsible for Stores issues, maintenance of records of inventory, adhere to established procedures.
- Order Spare parts and equipment in accordance with authorized purchase requisitions.
- Receiving and dispatch of stock items, spare parts etc.
- Arrange for the disposal of used products and materials in an environmentally sensitive manner.
- Familiarity with the Stores/Inventory policy.
- Process completed requisitions into issue and process all returns.
- Process items from the receivable area and outgoing area; manage the dispatch and receipt of items by courier.
- Co ordination of Quality Assurance procedures for component inspections.
- Process delivery dockets and invoice, match dockets and invoices to copy of purchase orders, then prepare batch for approval for payment.
- Check and replenish consumables; daily for gloves; rags; fasteners; tyres; safety tag boxes; weekly for lubricants; gas; wet-weather gear; safety equipment; filters etc.
- Monitor oil and fuel stocks levels.
- Manage the issuing of “Tradespersons” tools
- Communicate the status of ordered and received components to maintenance personnel, purchasing officer, supervisor (if applicable), superintendents and other senior workshop management.
- Assist workshop personnel and supervisors in locating parts within the CMMS and the store.
- Perform order and receipt enquiries for engineering departments, assist in internal and external audits.
- Maintain the store in a tidy and useable state providing and efficient and safe working area.
- Perpetual inventory to be carried out.
- Maintaining the fuelling station in order. Keep the records of transaction in Bunk & Bowser updated.
- Segregating Scapped items
- Maintaining the stored mechanical items by properly covering and labelling for immediate reference.
- Broad understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and Stores procedures
- A sound knowledge of inventory control procedures.

Educational Qualification (min)
BE/Diploma in Engineering / Graduate (B Com)
Preferred Certifications if any - Inventory Management
Range/ Min no of years - 5 years experience required
