About the role
Location: Tumkur
Reporting to: Assistant Manager - Purchase
The person in this role will be responsible for Purchase activities end to end for Tumkur plant. You will be part of plant supply chain team and communications within the team. Need to have purchase order releasing for all plant related activities and for other departments.
Key responsibilities
- Review Requisitions and issue PO's according to lead time
- Monitor vendor confirmations to validate delivery dates.
- Act on variances
- Review overdue PO's daily and follow up with suppliers with timely escalations.
- Carry out actions as per Daily Task List and update daily as actions completed.
- Provide clear, timely communication of Supply issues.
- Maintaining strong relationship with the vendors, adherence to contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods meeting the Quality parameters.
- Fluidity in ordering the goods despite MOQ and contracts with timely receipt of inventory.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the region across supply, demand, replenishment, and sourcing to incorporate strategies and drive inventory optimization.
- Anticipating production requirements by working closely with Planning & Production Team and plan call offs accordingly to avoid production delays.
- Check and maintain relevant Master Data including NPI.
- Monitor shelf life regularly and work with the supplier, Quality and Warehouse to extend as required
- Cost effective procurement strategies to optimize material expenses without compromising on quality.
Qualifications and skills
- Min of 3-6 years’ experience in the Industry.
