Job Description

Responsible for Transforming the manual trade flows and current operating model with changing need of the
business. Responsible to lead and execute “Run the Bank” and “Change the Bank” initiatives ensuring the
highest level of quality delivery


Job Summary
 As an Executive Director in Fund Accounting Trades operations, you will be managing day to day
operations for Trade life cycle events ensuring instructions are captured accurately in Accounting Book
of Records [ABOR] across suite of asset classes such as Equities, Bonds, TBAs, MBS, Repos etc. including
complex assets like Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETDs) and Forward FX (FFX) specifically focusing on
investment instructions executed by the Fund Manager.
 You will be leading Change agenda across Ops and Tech driven programs involving automation of
manual flows and activities to build scalable operating model in close partnership with Product
Development, Technology and Change teams.
 You will be responsible to maintain and continually enhance the control framework for day-to-day
operations delivery, mitigating inherent risk with an objective of zero operational error in business
delivery.
 You shall be collaborating with external parties like Fund Managers, Investment Advisors, Investment
Managers and Clearing brokers for timely identification/ closure of discrepancies in ABOR and accurate
representation of multiple trade life cycle events including complex events like options exercise,
assignment, and expiry.
 You will be based out of the Bengaluru office as part of Fund Services Operations, India Corporate
Centre and working in the WHEM shift (Night shift)
 You will work closely with wider Trade Operations team, global partners, and cross functional
stakeholders across geographies.


Job Responsibilities
 Responsible for managing end-to-end NAV critical Trade Lifecycle events impacting ABOR across
numerous asset classes such as Equities, Bonds, TBAs, MBS, Repos etc. including complex assets like
Exchange Traded Derivatives and Forward FX as per pre agreed Service Level Agreements with the
Client.
 Responsible for building optimum controls environment throughout trade life cycle and production of
Key Process Indicators [KPI] and Key Risk Indicators [KRI] to understand the health of the process.
 Design/Lead/Participate for implementing globally consistent Target Operating Model to facilitate
optimum straight through processing [STP] and accuracy by leveraging well defined system architecture.
 Lead / participate / collaborate in discussions with Product owners, Technology, Product Development
and Change team to continuously upscale operating model to build scale and enhancing client
experience.
 Close partnership with Ops Readiness and onboarding team to ensure seamless onboarding of new
clients and/or fund launches including fund life cycle events to enhance client’s confidence. Escalate
every issue proactively for timely resolution to avoid adverse impact on overall timelines.
 Collaborate with external parties and internal stakeholders namely Clearing broker, Fund/Investment
Managers, Custodians, Product, Client Service, Operations Service Delivery, Technology, Product
Development, Operations Controls Management, Auditors, Reconciliations, Asset Servicing,
Onboarding, to ensure seamless onboarding of new client mandates and fund launches and timely
resolution of business issues.
 Periodic review of Standard Operating Procedures, intraday and end of day control checklists to ensure
they are in line with introduction of new policies and ongoing risk management activities. Understand
the changing group/regulatory requirements and conduct assessment on operations to ensure
compliance with the standards.
 Ensure department has viable business continuity and concentration plans in place, which are tested in
accordance with bank policy and that all staff are familiar with the plans. Act as a focal point for handling
resiliency situations.
 Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure team structure is robust
through effective training and succession planning.
 Establish effective communications in and out of the Fund Accounting teams ensuring staff are aware
of strategic, tactical, and regulatory changes in the organization.
 Recognize potential for greater process and reporting efficiencies and make recommendations for
improvements.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.
 15+ years of experience in managing global capital market operations for Trades with strong knowledge
of financial markets and products including equity, fixed income, money market instruments, TBA, MBS,
Repos, Derivative products- Futures and Options, Foreign Exchange (Forwards and Spots) etc.
 Energetic and enthusiastic person with Change mindset – Ability to question the status quo and lead
the transformation agenda by automating the manual flows to build scalable operating model.
 15+ years of strong people leadership experience with ability to lead and motivate team members
and inspire direct reports irrespective of cities/geographies.
 12+ years of leadership experience in global environment with multiple stakeholders by adopting
collaborative approach to drive business results.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment with an emphasis on risk mitigation and
efficiency.
 Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting.
 Display high levels of integrity; operate based on open and honest interaction.
 Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field such as CA/ICWA. Management degree in Finance would
be preferred.



Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 Operational subject matter expertise e.g., Fund Accounting, Trade Life cycle, Internal and Street
Reconciliations, products such as Futures and Options, Position and Total Equity Recon, etc.
 Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes.
 Demonstrate ownership and accountability for operational and project deliverables with a proven
track record.
 Ability to effectively prioritize work allocation and work towards critical deadlines.
 End to end understanding of NAV building process and roles and responsibilities of key participants
engaged
