Entry Tax Accountant

Job Description
Performs accounting tasks associated with the maintenance and preparation of tax records and returns. Assists in preparing federal, state, and/or local tax returns and related statements or records. Provides timely submission of assigned firm-wide tax reporting documents. Work is performed under moderate supervision.
Job Description:
• Performs accounting tasks associated with the maintenance and preparation of tax records and returns. Prepares or assists in the preparation of various federal, state and/or local tax returns as assigned.
• Prepares Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 8975, and 1120F in OneSource Income Tax Software for Senior review
• Prepares use tax analysis for senior review
• Maintains tax calendars for proper tracking of compliance due dates for all tax types, including income tax estimate, extension, and tax return due dates as well as sales and use, property, business license and miscellaneous tax filing due dates, as needed
• Assists with annual global tax provision process in Onesource Tax Provision Software, including inputting tax account information, rolling excel schedules forward that support components of the tax provision, and maintaining the corporate tax supporting file with all supporting documentation
• Prepares tax return workpapers according to federal and state requirements and company standards.
• Compiles and organizes data for document requests related to various audits.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and changing team environment.
Demonstrates basic knowledge of tax laws and reporting requirements.
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
Demonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel software.
