Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate High School English Teacher to join faculty at an international school offering both the Cambridge (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with the ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills among students. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Grade 9 to 10 (IGCSE) and IBDP (11 and 12).
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and IBDP English curriculum standards.
● Teach English Language and Literature with a focus on analytical, creative, and academic writing skills.
● Develop lesson plans that incorporate inquiry-based learning, interdisciplinary connections, and differentiated instruction.
● Guide students in independent research projects and extended essays (for IBDP).
● Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance learning experiences.
● Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular projects and participate in professional learning communities.
● Engage in extracurricular activities such as literary clubs, debate teams, or drama productions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
● Educational Background: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field along with B.Ed
● Experience: Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
● Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
