What you need to know about the role:
The role is key to managing complex cross functional AI ML portfolio of projects and programs. You will work with product managers, engineering managers, engineers, and executives to deliver on high impact programs.

We are part of Business Infrastructure & Technology Services (BITS) organization that is responsible for enabling the required technology to support the business. You will be responsible for working with AI ML leadership to execute on the most impactful programs and initiatives for the organization.

Your way to impact

Manages project schedules, budgets, and vendors while working with cross-functional engineering teams to bring a concept through the development lifecycle and driving software efforts using Agile software development principles. Delivers projects on time with attention to quality, closely collaborating with various cross-functional engineering and design teams, vendors, and contractors. Manages program through the program life cycle including program planning activities such as schedule development and tracking, resource allocation, gathering requirements and ensuring requirements gaps are identified and resolved, risk assessment and mitigation plans. Manages cross functional meetings with internal and external 3rd party suppliers or partners, manages operational aspects of the program and coordinates with product and technology management.

Your day to day

In your day-to-day role you will

• Work with product management, engineering, and executives to create execution plans based off of business requirements and high-level engineering designs.
• You will drive programs that cut across AI ML and PayPal to guide all teams in operating as one team to deliver for the business.
• You will create schedules that identify dependencies and risks as well as look to mitigate possible blockers for program success.
• You will provide detailed and high-level program status reports, depending on the level of the reader.
• You will lead cross functional program review meetings to ensure your programs stay on track to deliver on time and quality expected by the organization.

What do you need to bring-

• 4 years of experience managing software development projects and programs.
• Process improvement experience, at the program level or organization level.
• Ability to understand high level system design diagrams.
• Experience with portfolio tools.
• Experience with Jira or similar software development requirements management tools.
