To lead Multi-disciplinary team of Airports business that designs, develops and integrates highly complex hardware , embedded and application software 


Strategic Impact
Understands business priorities, and builds the required competency & infrastructure ahead of time for the teams
Drive innovation in product development roadmap to support mega trends, effectively map the competitive landscape and benchmark the design and technology trends.
People leadership and talent development
Builds a mechanism to analyse newer deployment scenarios of the Product/System by working closely with Global Product Management teams
Does a periodic gap analysis of the Development KPAs and defines strategies to improve maturity
Evangelizes Contemporary development practises on the embedded side
Partners with development leads in creating reusable, scalable, safety critical hardware platform
Technical & Functional
Experience in leading teams through the Hardware development life cycle – Electrical and Mechanical and Regulatory certifications. Requirements development, Design and Architecture for analog/digital circuits and analysis (Thermal, Power Integrity, PCB Stack up, Placement and Routing, Tolerance etc) and dealing with vendors and manufacturing.
Experience and Knowledge in leading teams in design and development of embedded systems (bare-metal and Operating system based) , application development,  cyber security practices & hardware and software integration.
Experience in safety critical systems development.
Gets involved in Requirement reviews to ensure completeness of Deployment scenarios, Use cases & Testability aspects of Functional & Non-Functional requirements using his/her Domain, Product & Functional knowledge.
Works with the System Architects to mitigate the architectural risks of the program in early phases & participates in design reviews to identify failure modes
Maintains infrastructure for security, performance/scale, regression of products.
Owns technology roadmap of Airports’ airside products of HBS business.
Monitors release quality criteria and communicates unbiased product/system quality view to stakeholders and enables quality release of the product/system
Mentors’ other members of the team on technical aspects.
Business Acumen
Participates in Observation Voice of Customer (OVoC) and in Concept reviews in early phases of Product Development Life Cycle as needed
Stays up to date with happenings of the Industry & Competition space of the relevant business verticals and drives best practices.


Education / Technical skills


Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Electronics and Communication/Electrical engineering
Must have handled at-least 2 large programs as Engineering leader
Good understanding of systems and hardware platforms
Should have worked in global product development environment.
Must have good communication & negotiation skills.
Must be good at Technical Leadership with an ability to quickly adapt to latest technology trends.
Prior Knowledge of hardware design and embedded C, C++, Linux and Knowledge of hardware/Software quality and standards.
Understanding of Airports airside domain (Nice to have)


Professional Skills / Knowledge 


Good business communication skills, both verbal and written
Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and sometimes under extreme pressure.
Prepared to travel domestic or overseas as per business needs.
Ability to work together with different functional & delivery teams.
Prior experience in handling multi-disciplinary project will be an added advantage.
Demonstrates Influencing skills to articulate independent Product Quality view.
Right level of Negotiation skills & conflict management capability
Ability to coach and mentor teams
