As a Platform Engineering Manager in Retail Electric Power Solutions (REPS), you’ll own and drive the New Program Introduction (NPI) for the REPS CAT and FG Wilson brand gensets and energy solutions. You’ll lead a global team of Lead Engineers (Engineering Program Leaders) to design and develop products that meet cost, performance, durability, and quality needs – ultimately delivering value to our customers.
In this role, you will coach, guide and facilitate the development of a work group to develop collaborative relationships among themselves, as well as with customers, suppliers and other functional groups to ensure goals are achieved. You will also provide managerial and technical direction in product / process design, development or research. You will create and maintain an organizational climate / culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement / commitment and a sense of urgency towards business success. You will continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, develop as a strategic thinker, and deepen your professional network.
Additional Info:
This is a mid-level leader role with responsibility for NPI execution of electric power gensets/energy solutions from 20-2500 kVA. You’ll lead a global engineering team, comprising of Lead Engineers (Engineering Program Leaders), largely based in India, with additional team members in the U.S and Brazil. This global team develops and introduces products manufactured in 7 different facilities in the US, Brazil, China and India. This position will work with various internal customers including operations, supply chain, purchasing, marketing along with other product and engineering organizations.

• Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development and continuous improvement.
• Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
• Providing leadership to create and maintain processes used to design, develop and manufacture components, systems, products, services, and technologies.
• Managing engineering product and manufacturing process or quality issues, from concept through end of life-cycle.
• Requires a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
