Essential Responsibilities:


·Lead teams in the design, development, optimization, maintenance and troubleshooting of applications including desktop, web, cloud, and mobile applications.


·Responsible for working with global products organizations to develop, lead and implement the technology strategy and roadmap.


·Drive design and development of solutions across products, which may include systems strategy, development of new frameworks and services.


·Drive thought-leadership on engineering and architectural practices and standards to ensure architectural integrity is maintained across products by adhering to best practices.


·Work closely with cross-matrix and cross-functional teams.


·Foster innovation to drive new product ideas or strategic product extensions into a commercial product.


·Provide leadership direction, to build effective team that is highly motivated and have world class competencies, capabilities required to create best in class, leading edge product offerings.


·Lead the complete product development life cycle in an agile environment from developing use cases to product delivery.


·Seek ways to identify new and different ways to maximize productivity and quality through development methods and practices.


·Work very closely with the global R&D, product development leads, and product management businesses verticals.


·Uses deep domain expertise and business experience to influence and persuade a wide range of audiences on issues important to the business unit.


·Influences key leaders to adopt new functional and technical knowledge to achieve business unit/function goals; values and rewards strong functional and technical skills.


·Provide technical leadership and guidance to the organization. Manages staff in the day-day performance of their jobs.


Principal Competencies


·Strong technical background and expertise in software development combined with effective leadership skills.


·Is knowledgeable of typical new product development practices, knows what “great” looks like in the context of a high performing R&D functional organization, and has the ability to quickly assess, lead, monitor and deliver high quality work product.


·Understands the factors influencing project cycle time and has the proven ability to implement practices that result in reductions in over-all project cost, time to completion.


·Designs, implements, measures, and executes processes to assure quality expectations are met in product design.


·Develops methods or approaches for analysing complex processes, situations or issues and discerning patterns within the business context.


·Consolidates customer business requirements and aligns them with overall strategy; translates strategic development requirements into actionable plans.


·Good communication skill to articulate views/thoughts with team and partners or customers.


·Experience in development of project plans, budgets, and resource requirements.


Acts as a source of technical expertise; serves as a role model for others in displaying functional capability and continually acquiring new skills. Influences key leaders to adopt new functional and technologies to achieve business goals whilst valuing and rewarding strong functional and technical skills.


Create and foster a team environment that encourages personal initiative, creativity, technical development, and achievement of goals.


Job Qualification


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or other with 15+ years of experience leading and growing engineering teams in a leadership role. Preferably leading cross functional teams.


Has strong experience in software applications development including cloud (preferably Azure) and IoT applications.


Has led cross functional teams of different levels and skills.


Strong understanding of security, and compliance requirements


Solid critical-thinking and decision-making skills


Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


Experience in Building automation or similar industry would be desirable.
