Introduction:

Engineering Design Support - Lead is responsible for Engineering Design manufacturability, taking care of initial design production releases, manage changes/revisions and help implement change Engineering releases by interfacing with Engineering and Operations.
Technically lead and/or execute engineering release projects.
Ensures customer satisfaction via on time delivery of product releases in accordance with predetermined requirements and prompt resolution of complex issues of difficult scope for range of products.
Ensures that all phases of project, program, and/or process development are documented, and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding safety, Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, and confidentiality and safety.
Education and Experience:
9 – 12 Years of work Experience in the relevant Industry.
Bachelor’s or Equivalent degree in mechanical/manufacturing or Equivalent.

•Applies DFx principles (Design for Manufacturing, Aesthetics, Ergonomics, Producibility, etc.) to reduce product costs and improve delivered product quality.
•Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of engineering group.
•Performs Virtual build reviews to early detect assembly, maintenance, and layout interference issues. Execute design changes as needed.
•Create and maintain System Layout
Job Specific skills/Knowledge:
•Requires demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering discipline, theories, practices, and principles.
•System configurations, bill of materials, product safety requirements, material handling, and root cause analysis.
•Min. 5 Years of hands-on experience on NX/ Creo / TCAI CAD Tools.
•Working experience in interpreting manufacturing drawings with complex GD&T requirements.
•Requires knowledge necessary to perform the job function such as an understanding of the engineering processes, Engineering BOM management, DFx(Design for Excellence) engineering principles, Virtual Build and analysis, value engineering, Producibility / manufacturability / serviceability analysis.
•Experience in handling Supplier problems and root cause analysis for short term & long-term corrective action.
•Experience in Teamcenter recommended.
•Experience in understanding basic function of an ERP systems preferably SAP & apply them to perform activities efficiently.
