Job Description

Role Profile


  • In this role, you'll be joining our Corporate Technology within Reliability Engineering and Enablement (REE), Corporate Technology (CT) as a Engineer – Salesforce QA, Reliability Engineering. This team serves as a bridge between Corporate Technology and LSEG central engineering, operations, and compliance teams with the key focus of enabling our CT DevOps teams to bring new software or new features to production as quickly as possible.

REE do this by:


  • Ensuring all central requirements and changes are supported via aligned ARE squads. Using our ARE squads, the team will either directly implement the technical change required or lead CT coordinated efforts where there are multiple capability dependencies.
  • Ensuring correct tooling standards are being followed as well as automation of operational tasks.
  • Supporting CT Compliance, Security Controls and Risk Management.
  • Ensuring an acceptable level of IT operations performance and error risk in line with service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Continuously review operating metrics and data to find opportunities to improve.

Tech Profile/Mandatory Skills


  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Testing 
  • Hands on experience in Salesforce.com QA
  • Must have performed Manual Testing Process inside Sales Cloud or Service Cloud or Experience Cloud Implementations
  • Exposure of open-source User Interface (UI) test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Java Script & Type Script 
  • Experience of API Testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI etc. 
  • Experience of working in software delivery methodologies such as Agile/Scrum. 
  • Support and evolve CI/CD Platform for continuous testing. 
  • Experience with automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills (BDD framework, API testing)
  • Experience with web-based application testing.
  • Tools: Jira, Confluence, TestRail. 

Preferred Skills and Experience


  • Hands-On experience of working 2+ years on quality assurance/testing.
  • Understanding of Salesforce, SFDC Architecture & concepts is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with all levels of staff, both orally and written. 
  • Ability to manage own work and multitask to meet tight deadlines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision. 
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual with a positive & pro-active attitude to work. 
  • Customer and service focused, with determination to meet their needs and expectations. 
  • Be driven and committed to the goals and objectives of the team and organization. 
  • Be the functional expert, to guide the team and mentor them.
  • Good to have:
    Hands on experience in programming languages like Selenium Web Driver, Python, Java etc.
  • Experience in automation of REST API / Microservices testing.
  • Ability to provide Production support, on need based.

Education and Professional Skills


  • Professional qualification or equivalent.
  • Software Engineering, Computer Science equivalent, or STEM degree (Desirable).
  • CSQA / ISTQB Certified
  • Quality assurance knowledge of tools and methodologies
  • experience in leading successful, result drive teams 
  • Experience leading multiple quality assurance implementations.

Detailed Responsibilities


  • Must get along with global teams in time zones spanning UK, US, APAC areas. 
  • Work closely with the Business and Capability teams Chapters, Squads. Performing requirements grooming to understand the business requirements and test requirements.  
  • Maintain and update automated test scripts based on agreed acceptance criteria. 
  • Help the team build functional and non-functional test scenarios based on user story.
  • Covering the requirements, multi-functional and other aspects of the systems such as load, performance, and fault tolerance in BDD – Behaviour driven development
  • Review tests built by other team members for coverage and negative scenarios. 
  • Implement and report results of automated and manual tests with the team.
  • Monitor and solve issues in automated test scripts.
  • Report issues and anomalies in the system in the issue tracking system.
  • Research new QA tools & methodologies and suggest improvements to the team.  
  • Works with business partners to build metrics and supporting dashboards and reporting. 
  • Identify, isolate, and record bugs throughout testing. 
  • Identify any potential problems that users might encounter. 
  • Track bugs through JIRA / Asana
  • Provide daily, weekly status updates to team and managers. 
  • Able to work on agile projects, participating in daily SCRUM calls and providing task updates.
  • Understanding of Salesforce, SFDC Architecture & concepts is required.
