Role purpose As a Engineer II - System Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying
and supporting Windows for end users. You will monitor the health and utilization of the environment
to detect and prevent problems, ensure high availability for users and plan future growth to meet business
needs. Duties and Responsibilities: •Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of
all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify
completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. •Ensure OS/Storages are patched on a regular basis, and
upgrade administrative tools and utilities •Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches,
hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware •Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware
upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
•Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
•Perform regular backups & restoration as per defined process •Work independently with little supervision
on day to day tasks, receiving general instructions on new assignments Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
•Knowledge of Operating Systems installation, configuration and hardening management •Knowledge of
system admin, Windows operating systems, net backup and EMC storage Admin •


•Knowledge of App servers and web servers:JBOSS, Websphere, Apache, IIS, etc.
•Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar related fields required. At least 5 years in the field as a system administrator.
