Role purpose
As an Engineer II - Database Administrator, you will ensure data to the application tier is performant, secure and recoverable. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of company databases and guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally
Duties and Responsibilities:



•Responsible for Oracle DB installation, configuration, support and maintenance
•Create new databases as and when required
•Ensure databases hardening, set up and performance tuning
•Responsible for Database patch management
•Ensure monitoring of Database instances, disk partitions, Table spaces.
•Work with system Administrator to identify the hardware/storage/network issues
•Ensure installation, configuration & maintenance of Database, RAC & associated ASM setups
•Ensure Database Backups & Restorations as per defined processes
•Participate in 24/7 On-call support
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:



•Experience in Oracle Database Administration
•Basic knowledge of basic Linux commands required for DB operations
•Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar related fields required.
