Engineer I - Implementation Quality Assurance

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Analyst to understand the requirements and provide testing efforts.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using Automation tools
• Perform API Testing (XML knowledge Preferred), functional testing and regression testing to identify and document software defects.
• Report and track defects using designated bug tracking tools, ensuring thorough documentation of issues.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Good understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Basic Knowledge of API testing – XML and JSON knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of Tools like SOAPUI Preferred
• Good Scripting/coding knowledge and enthusiasm in learning Automation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Good Analytical skills to understand the root cause of problems and think critically about testing strategies.
