POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Manager of Human Resources Technology (HR Technology), this role emphasizes the design and development of software solutions using a variety of programming technologies. The Engineer I, HR Technology must have knowledge of design principals, common ERP integration design patterns, knowledge of relevant integration technologies, an understanding of implementation methodology and the ability to combine those skills to drive integration deployment successes.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires some training in fields such as computer science or information technology or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor’s Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Generally requires 0-2 years of software development experience, and awareness of Human Resource, Payroll or Financial software applications.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: • MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in related field or equivalent work experience 0-2 years software development experience utilizing such technologies as EDI, Web Services, API, XPATH, SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net or other integration technologies • • 0-2 years experience with object-oriented programming and webservices • Familiarity with Human Resource, Payroll or Financial software applications preferred. • WebLogic, WebSphere, WebMethods, or other middleware experience • Conversion or data integration related project experience • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Knowledge of System Development Lifecycle methodology • Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams • Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously • Ability to embrace and intake new software and features as requested
