We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role
As a Front end Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing web applications and services. You will leverage your expertise in front end technologies to build robust solutions that enable our customers to seamlessly access and manage our various offerings.
We are looking for a 7+ years experienced front end developer with hands-on proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React who will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results within an established software development lifecycle framework.

Consumer giving, PayPal fundraisers, give at checkout, disaster campaigns, Charities, Charity compliance, Charity experience, Partner fundraising, Grants payout and Partner experiences.

You will own the concept, productisation, and delivery of the technical solutions improves productivity, drives operational efficiency and scale to support our business growth You will partner closely with our cross-functional teams and will be responsible for building a great experience for our customers.

Your day-to-day

In your day-to-day role you will

• Code, test and debug programs according to computer engineering specifications.

  
  

• Build new and modifying existing applications.

  
  

• Develop software prototypes.

  
  

• Write unit tests and functional tests (automation).

  
  

• Perform manual tests.

  
  

• Use tools to access data in datastore, version control systems, etc.

  
  

• Practice Agile methodologies.

  
  

• Frequently interface with other functional teams on all aspects of a feature or sub-system.

  
  

What do you need to bring

• Frontend Developer with 7+ years hand on programming experience and strong foundation in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React

  
  

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

  
  

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science

  
  

• Exposure to additional technologies such as Python, iOS, Android is an added advantage

  
  

• Knowledge with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the Web.

  
  

• Experience writing unit/functional tests using Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Selenium etc

  
  

• Experience designing and building systems with Docker containers.

  
  

• Experience with ReST APIs, webservices

  
  

• Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, providing timely resolution and maintaining system integrity.

  
  

• Familiarity working with SQL and noSQL datastores.

  
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  
  

• Experience with GitHub, Jira

  
  

• Comfortable with Agile and Scrum
