Purpose of Role:Support WM Europe business in product standardization projects and mineral processing equipment design and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
· Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to Weir’s zero-harm behaviors in support of the drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
· Ensure that the deliverables align with relevant design requirements (specifications, standards, schedule, etc.) and best industry practices/guidelines.
· Carries out work independently with high quality and in time to meet KPI targets.
· Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical parts, assemblies and system using CAD tool.
· Create of manufacturing drawings, Assembly and General arrangement drawings, Engineering Bill of Materials(BOMs) for Cyclone clusters, pump boxes, sumps, bins, chutes and other mineral processing equipment’s.
· Review drawings and designs to ascertain compliance with customer specifications and to ensure deliverables are workable and met Fit Form Functions.
· Review and investigate design alternatives and ensure all factors are considered to meet customer specifications.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required with minimum 4 to 6 years’ work experience in design and development. ·
Experience on cyclone clusters & other products in Mineral processing or sand & aggregate industry preferred. ·
Sound knowledge and working experience on sheet metal design and development. ·
Proficiency in 3D CAD software preferably UG/NX and hands on experience in sheet metal module. · Good Knowledge on general fabrication principles, welding design, weld symbols application (AWS & ISO).
