Job Summary
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be a part of a team with the responsibility of developing creative solutions to challenging issues associated with the design, development, and sustaining engineering for our new and existing Patient support product portfolio. You will be required to perform in-depth mechanical engineering analysis and calculations and be responsible for development and documentation of mechanical systems with guidance whenever needed. Part of the job also includes generating and/or improving mechanical and electromechanical designs that are optimized for production, reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost.
What you'll be doing
•Design of mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems, involving both plastic/sheet metal parts, enclosures, and structures
•Participate in off the shelf parts/module selection.
•Create proof of concept prototypes by fabrication and rapid prototype techniques
•Hand calculations using first principle, tolerance stackup
•Create drawings with GD&T.
•Inspection, testing and qualification of parts
•Contribute to feasibility testing and verification testing.
•Documentation of design records, test protocols & test reports
What you'll bring
•B-Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 3 years’ experience in product design and development.
•Sound Knowledge of Mechanical Design Concepts (Design Calculations, Materials, engineering-mechanics
•Sound Knowledge of Reading and creating Mechanical Drawings.
•Hands on experience of CAD software (SolidWorks / NX Preferred).
•Knowledge on FEA is added advantage.
•A good Electromechanical project which demonstrates the skill during academics or during work experience.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal/influencing skills
