Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie specializing in Tandoor Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing authentic tandoor dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.


  • Prepare and cook a variety of tandoor dishes, including breads, meats, and vegetables
  • Manage the tandoor section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and timely food preparation
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
  • Maintain proper food safety and hygiene standards in the tandoor area
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in tandoor cooking techniques
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies for the tandoor section
  • Ensure consistent food quality and presentation for all tandoor dishes
  • Assist in menu planning and food cost control for the tandoor section

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, specializing in tandoor cuisine
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, with expertise in tandoor cooking techniques
  • Proficiency in menu planning, food safety, and kitchen management
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Culinary degree or diploma preferred
  • Familiarity with local ingredients and flavors of Mysuru and surrounding regions is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
