For this, we are actively looking for an Email Deliverability Executive to join our team. 


The Email Deliverability Executive is responsible for both strategic consultation and the hands-on technical management of email deliverability. This role requires an advanced understanding of email infrastructure, including server configurations, email authentication, and log analysis. The ideal candidate will be adept at troubleshooting and optimizing email systems to ensure high inbox placement rates.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliverability Strategy:


    • Develop and implement advanced strategies to optimize email deliverability, considering sender reputation, content structure, IP warming, and engagement metrics.


  • Technical Audits: Conduct thorough audits of clients' email systems, including:


    • Mail Server Configuration: Review and optimize settings for MTAs (Mail Transfer Agents) such as Postfix, Exim, or Microsoft Exchange.


    • DNS and Email Authentication: Ensure proper setup and configuration of DNS records, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI. Analyze and validate the authentication status of outgoing emails.


    • IP and Domain Reputation Management: Monitor and manage IP and domain reputation, including the implementation of IP warm-up strategies and resolving issues related to blacklisting.


  • Email Log Analysis:


    • Log Review: Utilize email logs to track delivery paths, diagnose delivery issues, and uncover patterns that impact inbox placement.


    • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues such as hard/soft bounces, deferrals, and spam folder placements by analyzing SMTP logs and bounce-back messages.


    • Tool Usage: Employ deliverability monitoring tools like Return Path, 250ok, or MxToolbox to gain insights and actionable data on email performance.


  • Client Consultation:


    • Work with clients to assess their email campaigns, providing tailored advice on infrastructure improvements, compliance, and best practices for content and engagement.


  • Technical Troubleshooting: Address and resolve complex technical issues including:


    • Blacklist Removal: Identify causes of blacklisting, provide recommendations for removal, and implement corrective measures.


    • Email Filtering and Spam Traps: Analyze filtering behavior and implement strategies to avoid spam traps and improve inbox placement.


    • Infrastructure Optimization: Recommend and implement improvements in email sending infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.


  • ISP and ESP Relationships:


    • Build and maintain strong relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Email Service Providers (ESPs) to facilitate the resolution of deliverability issues and stay updated on the latest best practices.


  • Reporting and Documentation:


    • Generate detailed reports that provide insights into deliverability performance, including trends, issues, and recommendations. Document solutions and maintain knowledge bases for internal and client use.


  • Training and Education:


    • Provide in-depth training to clients and internal teams on email deliverability, focusing on technical configurations, email infrastructure, and compliance.


  • Continuous Improvement: 


    • Stay current with evolving email deliverability standards, technologies, and tools. Implement new strategies and technologies to enhance deliverability services.



Requirements

Technical Knowledge and Expertise:


  • Email Protocols: Expertise in SMTP, POP3, IMAP, and the configuration of Mail Transfer Agents (MTAs) like Postfix, Exim, and Microsoft Exchange.


  • Email Authentication: In-depth knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI protocols, including setup, testing, and ongoing management.


  • DNS Management: Strong understanding of DNS architecture, including the configuration of A, MX, PTR, CNAME, and TXT records for optimal email routing and authentication.


  • Mail Server Security: Knowledge of securing mail servers against common threats such as open relays, spoofing, and DDoS attacks. Understanding of encryption protocols like TLS for secure email transmission.


  • Deliverability Tools: Proficiency in using industry tools for monitoring and improving deliverability, such as Return Path, 250ok, Litmus, MxToolbox, and others.


  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze email logs, SMTP logs, and bounce-back messages to diagnose deliverability issues. Proficient in using data analysis tools for monitoring performance metrics.


  • ISP and ESP Ecosystem:
