Job Description

Role Summary: 



We are seeking an experienced and strategic Internal Communications and Change professional to join our team. This role will oversee communications across the Enterprise Learning and Skills Business Unit, aligning strategies with leadership priorities and ensuring effective messaging and engagement across teams.  The successful candidate will develop and implement communication strategies that align with leadership priorities, while developing effective messaging and engagement. This position requires both long term planning and hands-on execution skills to navigate a complex and fast-paced environment.  



Core Responsibilities 



Communication planning 



  • Establish and implement an integrated communications framework for the ELS leadership team to drive value and impact from ELS communications, and ultimately driving engagement and motivation across the Business Unit 

  • Create a 2025 communications plan, that will meet both the needs of the leadership (messaging they want to share) with employee needs (messaging they want to hear), and that sets out a defined plan and rhythm of comms that connects leaders and employees 

  • As part of the communications plan, define the best sources and vehicles for communication; understanding the options and value of tools such as the Hub, SharePoint, email, teams and any other mechanism, and driving variety in comms methods (e.g. video, written, other) 

Communication Execution 



  • Identify and source key business updates related to ELS strategies, annual strategic goals, business updates and engagement plans 

  • Craft and deliver compelling business updates, aligned to the overall ELS communication timetable – power points, internal communications, videos etc. 

  • Provide design and formatting support on presentations to ELS leadership to achieve maximum impact and value 

  • Provide support to leadership with the prepare and execution of all communications materials for town halls and other communication forums (advising, reviewing or writing) 

  • Lead communication activities linked to the overall ELS engagement and employee plans, in partnership with HR (Tara Karver)  

  • Develop and implement data points to measure the value and impact of communications across ELS, continually reviewing progress and improvements 

Change Management  




  • For key ELS changes and communication events, support the ELS leader to design and implement a change management strategy to facilitate the understanding, adoption and benefit of the changes being rolled out (for critical and priority changes only) 

  •  Identify, engage, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders affected by the change to ensure buy-in and address resistance 

  • Identify training programs and resources to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to changes 

  • Create and manage communication plans to keep all parties informed about changes, timelines, and impacts. 

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate the impact of changes on processes, systems, and personnel, and develop mitigation strategies as needed. 

Collaboration  



  • Work closing the Vishaal Gupta and his leadership team to understand communication needs and styles, to drive the overall ELS comms plans 

  • Build relationships across ELS leaders and hub leaders to be able to source key business updates 

  • Partner with HR to determine the impact of comms and the feeling across employees – to address core issues or opportunities to improve engagement 

  • Partner with Comms teams in Marketing and Comms to tie ELS to any other communication developments and priorities

Qualifications & Experience 



  • Qualification or equivalent experience in communications and / or marketing 

  • Proven experience in internal communications and change, with 8-10years experience 

  • Proactive communication skills with the ability to identify and anticipate communication needs based on business developments 

  • Change management experience, having taken teams through change programs to realise benefits, and driving alignment around behaviours, engagement plans, and leadership messaging 

  • Previous experience in marketing, with story telling and clear messaging extremely beneficial 

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills – able to craft compelling, concise, and clear messages for different audiences 

  • Design skills to bring communications and presentations to life, aligned to company brand 

  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities – demonstrated ability to work effectively with Executives, and cross-functional teams 

  • Experience with internal communication platforms – expertise in tools like SharePoint, email, intranet (Hub), and Teams to establish the right communication mechanism
