The Role


As an Electrical Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….


  • Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Protection & Metering Diagrams, and Load Schedules.
  • Conduct Power System Studies using ETAP software, including short circuit analysis, load flow analysis and Dynamic Motor starting.
  • Develop Protection & Metering SLDs for HV/MV/LV systems
  • Perform calculations and design for Earthing and Lightning Protection systems (shall be familiar with IEEE-80 standard).
  • Design and calculate lighting systems according to relevant standards (Knowledge of Lighting software like DIALux, AGI 32 preferable).
  • Perform HV/MV/LV cable sizing calculation
  • Perform Battery & Battery Charger sizing calculation (shall be familiar with IEEE 485, IEEE 1115) - Preferable
  • Develop Cable Schedules and perform Hazardous Area Classification & Equipment Selection.
  • Size electrical equipment and prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and Material Requisitions (MR).
  • Review vendor offers and participate in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
  • Concept development of Substation equipment layouts
  • Develop Material take-offs for Electrical bulk items
  • Lead a team of engineers and designers throughout project execution, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling for electrical layouts and systems (Knowledge of 3D model review softwares like Navisworks, SPR etc. preferable).

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in mining, minerals & metals /MH.
  • Proficient in preparing electrical design documentation and conducting power system studies using ETAP.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Power system, HV/MV/LV system Protections, earthing, lightning protection, Cable sizing, lighting design, and hazardous area classification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with electrical design software and 3D model review tools.
